Hide and Seek

Did my little Kate - with those curly locks of disheveled hair - go through a drying cycle? If it weren't for the fact that the clothes in the dryer were still wet and that Kate has become our master climber, I might think that was the case! The dryer was a funny one that I know many of us have experienced, but finding her on top of the table this morning was a little different story! Nevertheless, I love having a little laundry helper by my side!

The Easter Bunny Strikes Again!

This is what we woke up to on Easter morning! Did the Easter bunny forget that he's supposed to come in the SpRiNG?!

His prints were spotted on our family room carpet!!! He must have tracked in a little of that snow from outside!

Kate was trying to figure out what all the fuss was about...

...but then she got into the groove...

...and then you know the rest!

We all had a very great day, despite having to put our cute Easter outfits on hold until the weather gets a little bit nicer!

Thanks for the great Easter goodies!

St. Patricks Day Breakfast!

It took some convincing, but the kids finally ate their green pancakes and found that they were actually just as good as the regular ones!

Return from Blogger Vacation

Rub-a-dub-dub, three babes in a tub!

"Who me? What do you mean I can't play with the stuff under the bathroom sink?" -Kate was BUSTED!-

We had to get all bundled up for our walk outside in the cold! (Don't ya' just want to squeeze those cheeks?!)

Luke and Ty were so proud of their Valentine carriers that they each made at school. They were loaded up with yummy treats from all of their great friends.

Call Me!

As we were checking in at the Salt Lake airport to fly home to St. Louis, Luke and Ty started to get a little chatty with the ticket agent. She was a cute, young twenty-something who couldn't help having a little fun carrying on in conversation with these cute 4 and 5 year old little boys. They talked about Santa's recent visit, Christmas excitements, and gifts the they had received. On a couple of occasions this girl was even invited to our house to play Lego Star Wars on the Playstation! Unfortunately, she respectfully declined saying, "I live in a hotel here and travel a lot, but maybe next time I'm in St. Louis I can come to your house and play." Well, we began to proceed to the baggage screening line, but before we had walked too far, little charmer Ty had turned around and in his big, loud voice hollered out to her, "CALL ME!"

Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow!

Ty and Luke had so much fun playing in the snow! Even a few snowballs to the face didn't keep them from having a great time!

There must have been some magic in this old party hat we found?!

With rosie cheeks, it was nice to finally come inside and get warm!

Freezing Rain

Well, we were supposed to have Stake Conference today, but it was cancelled due to the weather. This is one of the unique things about living in the midwest. It's an interesting phenomenom where the temperatures reach freezing, but it rains instead of snows. The result is a layer of ice that forms on everything. Although it's beautiful to look at, it can actually be quite dangerous. Not just with driving, but with tree branches snapping under the weight of the ice. In fact, last year nearly 500,000 people were without power for a few days due to downed power lines because of the freezing rain. Anyway, it was nice to not have to get up for meetings this morning! Here are a few pictures...(Make sure you click on them so you can see the larger images with all the detail)

Indian or Pilgrim?

Luke had a fun day at school in the Thanksgiving Teepee! I had to giggle a little when he got off of the bus because he looked so dang cute, and he knew it!

MIZZOU

Well today just seemed like a day for College Football. It's been a long week, and I needed some R&R. I decided this morning to make the hour and a half drive to Columbia to go to the Missouri vs. Texas A&M game with Ty. We had a great time together. Below are some of the pictures. One quick note...you will notice that Ty has smeared blood on his face. As we were walking down the street to the game, he stopped looking where he was going for a second and walked straight into the side mirror of a parked car! Poor kid. Of course his nose started bleeding and we didn't have any tissues. I'm sure all the moms are now mad at me for not cleaning up his face better, but hey, we're boys! Oh well, it just makes for a more memorable day together!

Dad and his buddy

We sat in the north end zone which was for general seating. We had a great view! Poor kid looks rough, doesn't he :-(

Ty was most excited about eating. He couldn't wait to eat his hot dog (and my nachos!)

If I'm not mistaken, I think this was Ty's first football game experience!

Kate's 1 Year Birthday Bash!

It's hard to believe she's already a year old, isn't it?! We are just so blessed to have her in our lives, and wanted to share her fun birthday pictures with you. We absolutely adore our little baby Kate!

Kate is one pretty cute little birthday girl, despite having been diagnosed with a double ear infection just one day before her big day!

There was absolutely no hesitation when it came to diving in to her cake. Kate was reaching for it before it ever even hit her tray!

We all were laughing watching her having so much fun getting messing and loving the sugar high!

Birthday tub time-definitely necessary!

Kate had more fun trying to balance on her gift box and practice her stair-stepping technique than opening it. She threw a little tantrum on the floor when I took her box away in order to pull her new toy out! It didn't take her too long to figure out that her new toy, not just the box, was kinda fun, too!

Tarzan Ty

He really was dressed before we put him to bed! We thought we heard a little vine-swinging, however, and when we went to check on him a little later, we found evidence that he truly was swinging from bed to bed before the vine finally broke!

Sunday Band Practice

The kids had a great time playing their drums after church today. I think my ears are still ringing from the beautiful serenade I received while making lunch!
